What can it actually do?

Anything you can do with a pointer and a keyboard, in any application you already have.

How do I start it?

Tap Right Option, type, press return. The same key stops it.

Is it watching my screen?

Only once you have sent a request. Never between them, and never while it is idle.

Where do the screenshots go?

To Anthropic or OpenAI, depending on the model you pick, so it can work out the next click. We do not store them and we do not train on anything. Both providers say they do not train on what is sent through their APIs, and both may hold it briefly to check for abuse.

Can it send something without asking?

On the default setting, yes. It says what it is about to do first, and it stops to ask before anything that cannot be undone and before spending. Set it to Careful and it asks before anything that changes something of yours: a file on your Mac, a message sent as you. Or switch on “Don’t change anything of mine” and it works on its own computer and leaves yours alone.

What if it gets something wrong?

Tap Right Option and it stops. Touching the mouse or keyboard pauses it while you are using your Mac, and it carries on a few seconds after you stop.

Do I need an account?

No. Not even an email address.

Which Macs?

Apple Silicon, macOS 13 or later. Signed and notarised by Apple, and it updates itself.

What does it cost?

Free to start. The paid plans are multiples of that same month. The plans are here.

How do I remove it?

Drag it to the trash, and turn its two permissions off in System Settings.
